NSW: Snow report for Wednesday, August 29, 2001

SYDNEY, Aug 29 AAP - The NSW snow report for Wednesday, August 29, 2001:

THREDBO - Cover will be firm on the upper mountain, wet and soft on the middle slopes
due to rain and heavy going on the lower trails. Twelve lifts will operate. Best runs
are Crackenback Supertrail and Central Spur for the advanced, Merritts for intermediates,
and Friday Flat for beginners.

PERISHER - A soft and wet cover that will be heavy going on lower trails but crisp
up the top early on. Fifty lifts will operate across the four resorts. Best runs are Front
Valley, Eyre and Zali's.

SELWYN - Top to bottom snow conditions across all the open trails of the mountain.

Up to 10 lifts expected to operate. Best runs are New Chum Bowl, Ski School and Home Run
for beginners, Long Arm, Kangaroo Ridge and Township for intermediates, and Plum Pine,
Galahs Gully and Racecourse for the advanced.
